Day 30, Odds and Ends

This won't be a very meaty post, just by the way.

Well, here I am in the last stretch of NaNoWriMo, I'm at a nice count of 56,015 words, and I'm hoping to get more done this Sunday, when I'll also be covering. Also, HELLO Travel-ites who have participated in my contest, my friend Bennett, and my English teacher (again!).

Plans for the future: Well, I'm using this blog to document my Script Frenzy (if I try) and my Camp NaNo adventures as well as my NaNo ones, so stay tuned for them.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm alive.

Character names:

Caleb Lomax Winslow will become Caleb Peter Winslow
Nikolai Jordan Brahm will become Nikolai Daniel Brahm
Bennett Hikaru Hirimoto will become Adrian Toshiaki Yamamoto
India Torie Johnson might become Delaney India Powell

Day 26, with a Bit of Farewell

First off, gigantic props to the folks from yesterday at the bookstore who were very supportive of me. I sprinted (and won!) my way to 48,583 words, and I feel up for more today! Yes, this means that I am in the final stretch of NaNoWriMo. All good things must end, no?

Anyhow, these are my plans for the blog:

Yes, DeidreDev's Blog will not be posted on for a long while. However, it will come back to life if I attempt Script Frenzy or Camp NaNo, and I hope to be back next year for NaNoWriMo for another fun-filled month of noveling awesomeness. Back in real life for the rest of the year, I'll answer to my real name a little more (sorry write-in groupies that I fooled you about my name :P) and get my head back in class, but I'm not finished yet, am I? NO! Of course, I still have 1,108 more words left to write, and there is a lot of editing to be done, ESPECIALLY from that 954-word sprint; that part will probably get rewritten entirely!

Here is the posting schedule for the rest of the month:

Option 1.)
I slack off and don't get anything done today, posting stays normal until I finish.

Option 2.)
11/26: I finish today and post this evening.
11/27-29: I might post about looking through things, or my awesome prizes.
11/30: I'll address a few final issues and get this blog closed for the season with a fresh post, as well as cover a Nov. 30th party.
12/??: Hey, I might be going to the TGIO party, and you *might* just see a little surprise from me!

Well, I'll catch up with you guys tonight or tomorrow!

What A Great 25 Morning!

Think about it - you're out of bed and you quickly stretch before slipping a sweatshirt on and heading towards the very comfortable rocking chair in the corner of your room (the only corner that you really do attend to) and turn on the lamp, having a shiny laptop up onto your lap. You install updates, then turn on your Train CD (Save Me, San Francisco - Golden Gate Edition, of course!) and it starts pumping into your headset, making yous smile. Here's the kicker: You plug in your flash drive, and whaddyaknow - you're two thousand words ahead!

Yesterday, thanks to the chat-Wrimos, I'm really ahead. So, in order to save some for the write-in today, I'm going to continue writing a bit of my fanfiction. I'm pretty pumped for this, been waiting to flesh out a it of my plot for a while, and I can now worry about quality! If I ever need an outlet for my inner editor, that's where I put it there because I only check for spelling/grammar/fact problems once or twice before submitting.

Well, here's to a great day!

Day 24's Eve

Helloooooooooooo!!! I'm really, really, REALLY excited, if you can't tell. I'm on a serious roll tonight. Not only did I get a whole chunk of gaming done, but I also write almost 4,000 words! I just wanted to let you all know!

Day 24

+ Hit 40,000 words!

Yes, I'm in the home stretch now! I have 10,000 more words to write, and I think that I can make it this year! Who knows - maybe I'll pitter out, but with all the support of my friends, family and new found Wrimos, I'm feeling good about this!

Now then, as I hit the home stretch, I have a few decisions to make - am I going to keep the blog, or will I drop it now and save it for next year? After NaNo, I'll be back to gaming and Travels-blogging, which will mean less posting here. However, I wanted to keep this up to keep my half-promise to (gosh darnit I miss him) Yadin and keep writing here. No doubt I'll stop writing my stories, but I may end up too busy to keep blogging here.

So, it's up to you! If I introduced you to this blog via e-mail (my English teacher and my grandmother, for instance) then you can shoot me an e-mail with your thoughts. If you follow, you can send me an e-mail if you know where to go, or you can leave me a comment!

Well, that's it for today!

Day 23, and My Life With Hate-Comments

Good afternoon, Day 23! I am ahead of schedule, about to hit 40,000 words, that means that I'll pull off ten thousand words in about seven days - thrilling, no?

Today's writing time was spent in a Barnes and Noble, where I hung out in the chatroom and ate cheese-stuffed pretzels with a side of hot chocolate! Mmm-mm, love the stuff! Though I am too tired to write a feature topic, I have a little story for all of you to learn from, a memoir if you'd like to call it that.

For a while now, there has been one blogger who has been hate-commenting my stories if/when I post them, and for that same while, I have been busy blocking his IP and (back home on Travels) eventually limiting comments so he can't get away with anonymous comments. Still, my little pest sometimes finds my Skype account (which I use for my job on KingsIsle Universe) by getting into my friends'/co-workers' accounts and ends up either spamming or hate-IMing me. Time and time again, I teach my lesson with screenshots and word-censor blocks.
At this point, I'm not sure what the entire message of this is. Trouble is inevitable and will only follow you, no matter how fast and far you run from it. If you run, you'll end up in a new place full of its own little pests. If you stay, then the trouble thrives. There's simply no avoiding it, and so the lesson of the day is NOT to run from trouble, but to stare at it in the face and not blink so it will laugh. If trouble laughs, it self-destructs - it's DeidreDevically proven!
Maybe I'm trying to say that you shouldn't let this harm you. I've put up with this guy, and even started a new blog just for my writing. I still get occasionally bugged, but I have friends who help me out a lot. Stay safe, you guys.
